The grandkids were here for 2 months so i did not dare work on the c-123 or any other aircraft for that time period! But now i am back on it finishing up the fuse. and starting on the wing ( inboard ) . Planking this fuse was a nightmare on caswell st. ( planking is always a pain ). I can think of easier ways to build this thing but will continue with the plans. I am thinking of ordering the fiberglass nacelles ( $ 60 ) but will build the cockpit enclosure by hand. I will also begin cutting the ribs for the outboard wing sections this week ! A decision is still to be made regarding power plants, electric or glow. Electric would be 4120 s or 4130 s which are cheap through hobbyking but the 80 amp. esc s are $130 apiece !!! Not to mention the 6 cell batts. So i think it is much cheaper to go with glow. I will post pics soon ! See ya at the field ! Jon | |
