People interested in aviation / model aviation. Must be willing to depart with a minimum of 1/4 - 1 % from your annual income. Must be willing to allocate 1-2 hours a month attending club meetings ( 1-2 % time ). Must be willing to help teach others that are searching for someone to assist with a quest for fun and education. Must possess capacity to understand that you will change lives for the better. Must have the will to donate time and money to this thing called aviation ! Maintaining a club takes alot of work which requires alot of help from club members and a fair amount of money ! We are enroute to providing a successful club. I founded this club in 2002 with the intentions of providing a flying field very close to home and had expected everyone to bring camaraderie, dedication, and allegiance to the table for Walton county aeromodelers. My hopes are that everyone meets this criteria ! Your pres. Jon

There are two types of radio controlled aircraft. Ones that have crashed and ones that are gonna crash.................. It will always rain on your day off............................. If there is one tree at the flying field, you will hit it.....................................Landings improve with less spectators.

Some days are just better than others and yesterday was one. Brad came out to the field and flew his Blackburn Monoplane. I see he's posted a picture of it in flight. What an awesome machine and what a job of building and flying. The sound, the sight, and the size are something very special. Talk about a draw for a fun fly or a fly-in. This is a once in a lifetime happening. The original plane was built in 1912 and one still flies in England. And now a little bit smaller one flies in the USA. We should be proud to have many skilled modelers in our club and promote its fun and benefits every chance we get. Let's rally around a plane like this and the other great projects we have going and expand our membership so we can do more. Thank you Brad for a great afternoon.

Gone are the days of saying " I just want to get to the field, fly, and go home ". If we were all to say this we would not be a club, and i am sure we all agree to continue growing as a club ( i know i do!) I believe leadership is a learned trait just as flying is. As president i am always looking for the next step toward a better and larger population for your club, but i do need help ( lots of it ) . we all need to be dedicated to the clubs best interest and be there to put in that extra time and effort. We all have a part to play,So lets all make a stand and create a strong foothold for the future of this great hobby !! Your pres. Jon

The hosting company has announced that they have made it possible for all members to post images in the Photo Gallery. It was a feature they did not previously have. So, please feel free to try it out.

I picked up our new sign for the flying field and it really looks great. I'm in need of a posthole digger to set the posts and mount it. Anybody got one that I can use for a few minutes? Your hands don't even need to be attached to it and you shouldn't have to demonstrate either. Let me know and I'll meet you at the field, or give me a call.

I found out that at this time, there is no way for members to add pictures to the photo album. It is something that the company that we host the site with is working on. For now, if you want to add images to the photo album, you can email them to me, and I will create an album for you.
To post images on the forums, it requires them to be posted online, This can be done through a second hosting site such as Photobucket.com. You would create an account there, upload your images, and then use the link they provide, and add that to your forum posting.
If you have any questions about this process, let me know, I would be happy to help.
Fred
